Yoga Stretch for your Hips

I found a webpage from someone on Google+ that gives some yoga stretches as ways to release tight hips.  The article tries to explain what the movements are, but unless you are already familiar with yoga... it's another language.

Luckily, there is a video a short ways down the page.  Here is a link to the page and here is the video for people like me that have only been to a couple yoga classes that find it helpful, but still somehow foreign.

Namaste.

Thanks for this. My left hip is consistently way tighter than my right. Le sigh.

I've taken some yoga and pilates classes for runners and there's always a huge emphasis on hip strengthening/"opening". I've found it very helpful!

Love that I came across this post as I currently have some tightness in that area.

I wanted to check in on you and see how you're doing?

How are your hips doing? I'm doing yoga twice a week along with some stretching on my own (and hardly any running due to my injury) and my hips can still get really tight. It seems to vary.

Yoga is not only to improve your hips while it can do better. There are lots of poses in yoga who can help you in all body parts. Yoga heals soul also.
